During my stay here in Shanghai, I have attempted to show interesting and unique things which make China different from the United States. I have shown you the sidewalks, the bullet trains and the like. Now I want to show you what happens when it rains, like it did today in Shanghai. When it rains, you will find at every door in every building a stand with plastic bags or "umbrella condoms". There is a person at this plastic bag stand that assists you in covering your umbrella in the plastic bag. This is done, so that water will not drip off of your umbrella unto the floor which could lead to some serious trips and falls. This not only keeps one safe, it prevents any civil liability issues from arrising. This is another example of Chinese ingenuity and perspective. For Anita's information, this is a picture of my umbrella on my desk. As you can see there is not much to my desk!!!!!!

Did you know they're filming a movie in Flint? Filming started this past weekend, starring Will Farrell and Woody Harrelson, "Semi-Pro"? With Lakisha Jones in "Idol", and now this movie, looks like Flint has gone......Hollywood.

We have seven goslings as of yesterday in the pond. Weather is going to be great the rest of the week. Sorry I don't have any sports updates to pass along. Just got done "helping" Tim Ferasin with his computer. He's in town until tomorrow sometime. My computer is on the spritz, so I'm waiting for the HP guy to come up and fix it (I think it's the hard drive). Can't get much on this pooled computer except Intra/Internet connection.
A lot of excitement with Will Farrell and Woody Harrelson in town. I guess they were shooting scenes in front of the Top Hat Car Wash on Hemphill a couple of days ago. The whole experience has been a feature on the front page of the Journal every day this week. I guess shooting will end tonight. What a hoot ! ! !

The Tigers are just 1 game out of first place to the Cleveland Indians. They are playing .607 ball. They beat KC last night 6-3. And now on to golf. And now on to something else. Oh, guess you might want to here about golf. Well it's pretty smelly in my camp. Me and Lebow on Monday got spanked 14 to 6 and me and JJ on Wednesday spent a lot of time discussing our fiftyith or sixtyith shot. I went out last night and walked 9 at GB CC. Got some things worked out and played my handicap (last years). That was good. The Wednesday BOS league starts this week and everyone is excited. We miss J Money out there though!. The Pistons start the next round of playoffs against the Bulls tonight and the Red Wings are all tied up with the San Jose Sharks at 2 all. Tiger, Vijay and Arron Oberholser are atop the leader board at the Wachovia Championship at Quail Hollow. Well, better get going. BW

I'm playing 18 holes at GB CC today. Wish me luck. Now off to fertilize the lawn.
